Overview

SPACECOM EDFA has three main applications: power amplifier (BA), relay amplifier (LA), and preamplifier (PA). In dense wavelength Division multiplexing (DWDM) systems, these three different types of fiber optic amplifiers (EDFA) can be placed in three different places for power amplification: the power amplifier is placed at the output of the device to provide high input optical power for the long-span fiber; The relay amplifier is placed in the fiber optic link to compensate for the loss of the fiber optic link during transmission. The preamplifier is placed at the receiving end of the device to raise the signal to the desired level.
