Coarse wave division multiplexing (CWDM) can effectively save fiber resources and networking costs. It solves the two problems of fiber shortage and transparent multi-service transmission. It is mainly applied in the aggregation and access layer of man, and can build networks and develop services in a short time.
Because CWDM has many advantages, such as low cost, low power consumption, small size and so on, so that major operators and system integrators find a low price, high performance transmission solution.
Now CWDM has been widely used in man transmission.
Beijing Spacecom Co., Ltd. has developed and shipped CWDM equipment for G.652, G.653 and G.655 optical fibers according to the market demand, which is an ideal choice for increasing man networking.
The CWDM products of SPACECOM series are developed by using coarse wave division ultiplexing technology. Multiple optical signals with wavelength interval of 20nm are multiplexed into one optical fiber for transmission, which can improve the communication capacity and expand the bandwidth on the basis of the existing man network, and effectively solve the problem of nsufficient optical fiber resources.

Beijing Spacecom has launched the SPACECOM200 series of commercial CWDM systems in 2 to 8 wavelengths. Most CWDM systems work in the 1470nm to 1610nm range. If the client provides full wave fiber, 16 multiplexed CWDM systems can be customized for 1290nm to 1610nm.
At present, customers can use CWDM to transform a large number of old cable (G.652 cable), saving the initial investment cost and solving the fiber resource problem.

In particular, CWDM is used in conjunction with PON (passive Optical Network), an inexpensive, point-to-multipoint optical fiber communication mode. By combining with CWDM, each individual wavelength channel can be used as a virtual optical link for the PON, enabling broadband data transmission between the central node and multiple distribution nodes.
2. CWDM Networking scheme
Point-to-point: Point-to-point 8-wave or 16-wave (full-wave optical line at the end of the line), which is widely used at present, has a great cost advantage compared with direct optical fiber laying in the range of 0 ~ 100km.
Chain: using OADM technology, applied to the center point to the fiber along the fulcrum.
Ring: THE CWDM ring is used on a man to effectively use optical fibers and multi-service access. In case of few services, one of the optical fibers of the double ring can be used for service protection.
In addition, it is very important that CWDM is very simple in opening, convenient in maintenance, and easy for technical personnel to master the use of equipment. The operation and maintenance cost is relatively low in the later period, and the product price is closer to the market demand. 3. Applied to EPON system
EPON (Ethernet passive optical Network) is a new type of optical fiber access network technology. It uses point-to-multipoint structure, passive optical fiber transmission, and provides a variety of services over Ethernet.
It uses PON technology in the physical layer and Ethernet protocol in the link layer, and realizes Ethernet access by using PON topology.
